MEDIA RESOURCES

FACT PACK

Ten months, 35,000 miles of ocean racing and more than 400 people from more than 30 nations facing the challenge of a lifetime.

When the starting gun goes off for the Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race on 13 September 2009 the fleet of ten stripped down 68-foot racing yachts will embark on a full circumnavigation of the globe. It will be almost a year before they return on 17 July 2010.

Download the Fact Pack to find out more about the crew, the pre-race training and the challenge that lies ahead.

MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES

Each of the Clipper 68s has two berths to accommodate onboard media. These media berths give journalists the opportunity to experience ocean racing first hand and to tap into the human interest stories that abound.

But don’t take our word for it – download the Media Opportunities document to see what some of the journalists who have raced with us have to say about their experiences.

RACE START ACCREDITATION

Journalists, photographers and film crews wishing to attend the start of Clipper 09-10 from the Humber on 13 September 2009 should complete a media accreditation application and return it to the Clipper communications team in accordance with the instructions on the form.

You can download it here.
